have you ever looked up at the most mysterious part of life, at the stars and the moon, and thought to yourself that for every star there is a galaxy surrounding it, just like ours, and for every galaxy that star represents the sun, and for every sun there may be a planet very similar to our own Earth?
now think about the state our world is in, the one that we are given the privelage of living on, the one we were born into to make something of ourselves and to live amongst every other individually important life form, whether it's muhammed's pet goat or the queen of england.
so now, think of your privelages, your reading this blog, and to read this blog you have to have access to the internet, and for that, a computer. which tells me that you are wealthy enough to afford to keep up with our modern worlds fastly advancing technology that we dont need. in saying this you are now more privelaged than a dusgusting 79% of the 7, 043,825,799 others (as of exactly 5 minutes ago, and yes, we've reached over the 7 bil mark) on this planet.
sad isn't it?, that the computer your using, and the ipod your listening to, and the uggboots and scarf you just put on, and the full plate of dinner you just ate, along with the water you drank with it, you truly do take advantage of. i bet your saying, 'yeah but we should use the extra money we have, just because we have it' but thats not entirely true, as i learnt today this is a term called affluenza, it spreads just like influenza, and it is the desire and endless dissatisfaction of buying what we want, when we want.
at least you dont live on less then a dollar a day.
all im asking of you is to please, count your lucky stars, and go that tiny bit extra effort and give one of those stars to someone who needs it a whole lot more then you.
donate,volunteer, pray , love.
our world needs it.
